2002
• (June 19, 2002) TNA is born! A Gauntlet Battle Royal is held to present the first of NWA Champion in TNA History. In the end it came down to Ken Shamrock pinning the giant, Malice to hold the glory and the belt. Also on this night Jeff Jarrett interrupted a Toby Keith performance. However it would cost him as later in the Gauntlet it was Keith who eliminated Jarrett.
• (June 26, 2002) A “Double Elimination” match is held to crown the first ever X Division Champion. AJ Styles overcomes Jerry Lynn, Low Ki (now known as Senshi) and Psychosis to be first ever X Division Champion
• (July 3, 2002) In the finals of a Tag Team Tournament, X Division Champion, AJ Styles and Jerry Lynn defeat the Rainbow Express to become the first NWA Tag Team Champions in TNA History.
• (August 7, 2002) This memorable night had two title changes. The first was when Ron Killings defeated Ken Shamrock to become 2nd ever NWA Champion in TNA and the second ever African American to hold the NWA Title. The second title change happened when Low Ki defeated AJ Styles and Jerry Lynn in a 3-Way to become X Division Champion.
• (August 14, 2002) The NWA Tag Team Titles are held up after a tag championship match between champions AJ Styles and Jerry Lynn defend against Ron Killings and Jeff Jarrett ends in controversial fashion with a double pinfall finish.
• (August 28, 2002) In a 3-Way Ladder Match Jerry Lynn defeats Low Ki and AJ Styles to become X Division Champion. This match is regarded as one of the greatest X Division Matches in history.
• (September 18, 2002) America’s Most Wanted defeated The New Church following a Tag Team Gauntlet for the Gold Match to win the vacant NWA Tag Team Titles.
• (October 2, 2002) AJ Styles defeated Jerry Lynn in a Ladder Match to win the X Title for a second time.
• (October 9, 2002) “Syxx-Pac” Sean Waltman wins an X Division Invitational Ladder Match to win the X Division Championship.
• (October 23, 2002) AJ Styles defeats Syxx-Pac to regain the X Title.

• (April 30, 2003) Amazing Red wins the X Title by defeating Kid Kash.
• (May 7, 2003) Christopher Daniels wins the NWA Tag Team Championship by defeating Amazing Red and Jerry Lynn by DQ.
• (May 14, 2003) Chris Sabin defeated Jerry Lynn and Amazing Red to win the X Title
• (May 21-July 2, 2003) TNA Holds a Hard-10 Tournament which is won by Sandman who defeats New Jack in the finals.
• (June 11, 2003) AJ Styles wins the NWA World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Jeff Jarrett and Raven in a 3-Way. Vince Russo returned from a hiatus and helped Styles win.
• (June 18, 2003) First Anniversary Show: Jeff Jarrett teams with icon, Sting against AJ Styles and the returning, Sean Waltman. Jarrett pins Styles with the Stroke.
• (June 25, 2003) AMW defeats Triple X for the NWA Tag Team Titles in TNA’s first ever Steel Cage Match.
• (July 23, 2003) Erik Watts becomes TNA Director of Authority
• (August 20, 2003) Michael Shane wins the X Division Title in the first ever ULTIMATE X MATCH by defeating Chris Sabin and Kazarian.
• (August 27, 2003) Johnny Swinger and Simon Diamond defeat AMW to win the NWA Tag Team Championships.
• (September 3, 2003) Wednesday Bloody Wednesday: First ever Wargames/ Lethal Lockdown Match takes place in TNA when D’Lo Brown, Raven, Jeff Jarrett and AMW defeated Shane Douglas, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger; Chris Sabin defeated Juventud Guerrera in the finals of the first Super X Cup Tournament.
• (September 17, 2003) Infamous “Scalping” Incident takes place. First Shane Douglas defeats Raven in a Hair vs Hair Match. After the match The New Church scalps Raven in one of the bloodiest moments ever in TNA.
• (October) Jeff Jarrett “takes TNA to Hulk Hogan” by ambushing Hogan at a press conference in Japan; The two were scheduled to meet at the first ever “Bound For Glory” 3-Hour PPV in 2003 but Hogan had knee surgery. The PPV was cancelled as the match never took place when Hogan signed with the WWE.
• (October 22, 2003) Jeff Jarrett regains the NWA World Heavyweight Championship from AJ Styles
• (November 12, 2003) Tag Team Titles are held up in a controversial match between Simon Diamond/Johnny Swinger and 3 Live Kru

• (January 7, 2004) Ultimate X returns to TNA when Chris Sabin defeated Michael Shane, Christopher Daniels and Low Ki to regain the X Division Championship.
• (January 28, 2004) Red Shirted Security defeated 3LK to win the NWA Tag Team Titles; Don Callis defeated Erik Watts in a “Loser Quits” Match. Erik Watts is no longer Director of Authority.
• (February 4, 2004) AJ Styles and Abyss win the NWA Tag Team Titles by defeating the Red Shirted Security; Titles are later vacated when the two couldn’t get along
• (February 11, 2004) First ever America’s X Cup takes place as Team Mexico defeats Team USA
• (February 18, 2004) Vince Russo is returns as the new Director of Authority
• (March 10, 2004) America’s X Cup returns as Team Mexico defeats Team Canada
• (March 31, 2004) Kazarian defeats Amazing Red to win the X Division Title after Chris Sabin had to vacate the title due to injury.
• (April 7, 2004) For the third time, America’s X Cup takes place, this time Team Mexico retained their glory by defeating Team UK; Also on the show Kid Kash and his cousin Dallas (AKA Lance Hoyt) defeated Triple X in the finals of an 8 team tournament to win the vacant NWA Tag Team Titles.
• (April 14, 2004) Apolo and D’Lo Brown win the Tag Team Titles from Lance Hoyt and Kid Kash when Hoyt was Disqualified.
• (April 21, 2004) AJ Styles wins the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in a Steel Cage Match by defeating Jeff Jarrett. Styles was replacing Chris Harris, who was injured earlier in the night by Raven; Kid Kash and Dallas regain the NWA Tag Titles when Apolo was disqualified.
• (May 19, 2004) Ron Killings wins the NWA World Title by defeating AJ Styles, Raven and Chris Harris in a “Deadly Draw” Match
• (May 26, 2004) World’s X Cup debuts in TNA as Team USA defeated Team Mexico, Team Canada and Team Japan
• (June 2, 2004) Jeff Jarrett wins the NWA World Heavyweight Championship by defeating AJ Styles, Ron Killings, Raven and Chris Harris in the first King of the Mountain Match. This would kick off an 11-month title reign.
• (June 4, 2004) TNA debuts its new weekly show on Fox Sports Net entitled TNA iMPACT! This show sees the debut of the Six Sided Ring (which will now be used from this point on) as well as America’s Most Wanted winning the NWA Tag Team Titles from Kid Kash and Lance Hoyt.
• (June 9, 2004) AJ Styles defeats Kazarian for the X Division Championship.
• (June 23, 2004) 2nd Anniversary Show: Jeff Jarrett retains the NWA Championship in controversial fashion against Ron Killings; In an X Division Dream Match, AJ Styles defended the X Title against Jeff Hardy. Unfortunately the match ended in a No Contest when Lance Hoyt and Kid Kash interfered.
• (July 7, 2004) The Naturals win the NWA Tag Team Titles by defeating America’s Most Wanted
• (July 21, 2004) The first ever Six Sides of Steel Match takes place. The Naturals defeat AMW to retain the Tag Team Titles; Also on this day Jeff Hardy officially signed a TNA Contract, in the process getting a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Title.
• (July 28, 2004) Kazarian and Matt Bentley (then known as Michael Shane) become co-X Division Champions by defeating AJ Styles in an Ultimate X Match.
• (August 4, 2004) In their only match, Raven defeated Sabu.
• (August 11, 2004) Petey Williams won the X Division Championship in a 22-Man Gauntlet for the Gold Match.
• (September 8, 2004) The Date with Fate: Jeff Jarrett successfully defended the World Title against Jeff Hardy on the final 2-Hour PPV in the Asylum; Chris Harris and Primetime defeated The Naturals to win the NWA Tag Team Titles; Following this show, iMPACT! would be TNA’s main show.
• (September 21, 2004) James Storm and Christopher Daniels defeat Chris Harris and Primetime to win the NWA Tag Team Titles.
• (October 15, 2004) Team Canada (Bobby Roode and Eric Young) defeat James Storm and Christopher Daniels to win the Tag Team Titles.
• (November 7, 2004) TNA Presents Victory Road: TNA runs it’s first 3-hour PPV. On this night Jeff Jarrett retained the World Title in a Ladder Match against Jeff Hardy when Scott Hall and Kevin Nash joined Jarrett; Petey Williams retained the X Division Title against AJ Styles; 3 Live Kru defeated Team Canada to win the NWA Tag Team Titles; Monty Brown defeated Abyss and Raven in the first Monster’s Ball Match; Dusty Rhodes wins Director of Authority Position in election; At the end of the show “Macho Man” Randy Savage returned to TNA
• (November 10/11, 2004) TNA hosts The Best d**n Wrestling Show Period. On these two nights we see an Ultimate X Match and a Six Sides of Steel Match.
• (November 19, 2004) Diamond Dallas Page debuts in TNA
• (December 5, 2004) TNA Presents Turning Point: TNA aired “Cookiegate”; Team Canada defeated 3 Live Kru to regain NWA Tag Team Titles; Randy Savage, AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy defeated The Kings of Wrestling (Jeff Jarrett, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash) in a Six Man Tag; America’s Most Wanted defeated Triple X in a Six Sides of Steel Match where the losing team had to split up (This is considered one of the greatest matches in TNA History, fans even chanted “Best Match Ever”)
